The small and cozy restaurant located in the area of Bica, is a must try in Lisbon’s city center. With friendly service and delicious food, this Portuguese “tavern” offers a twist on the typical tapas restaurant found in the city. The fish and seafood focused menu prepared by Chef João Magalhaes Correia will not disappoint and will leave you wanting more.

Must Try Dishes: We suggest the burrata followed by the golden shrimp risotto and the grilled octopus with chickpea.

O Nobre, in Campo Pequeno

Where to begin? With its twist on Northern Portuguese specialties, versatile wine list and excellent service, O Nobre simply ticks all the boxes of a successful restaurant. The menu combines delicious appetizers such as the Atlantic spider crab soup (an absolute favorite), fresh fish and seafood, all prepared in different styles. Pair this fantastic cuisine with a nice wine from the Douro region, or their Port wine with your dessert and your dining experience will be complete.

Must Try Dishes: The Sopa de Santola (spider crab soup) as an appetizer, the Arroz de Marisco (seafood rice) or the Magret de Pato (duck magret with port wine reduction).

Eduardo das Conquilhas is an institution for seafood eatery on the Coastline area of Parede, just outside of Lisbon. This restaurant opened its door more than 50 years ago and has been a reference for fresh seafood since then. The menu has all that seafood and shellfish lovers will be looking for; any of the Mariscadas (seafood platter) should not be missed, and the Conquilhas à Bulhão Pato (clams) are an absolute must.

Must Try Dishes: We suggest the Conquilhas à Bulhão Pato (clams), Perceves de Peniche (gooseneck barnacles) and the Mariscadas (seafood platters).

Cervejaria Ramiro, in Intendente

Cervejaria Ramiro is locals and tourists alike is always full. Since the restaurant was featured in the late Anthony Bourdain’s show “No Reservation,” the place has received an increased amount of tourist wanting the chance to taste the excellent seafood it has to offer. The restaurant is always fully booked, hence we recommended booking a table in advance or dining earlier than 7pm to increase your chance to secure a table as a walk-in. No meal is complete without the giant tiger prawn, razor clams, and Prego. Although unusual, the tenderloin sandwich (Prego) is listed as a desert option, which is essential for the full Cervejaria Ramiro culinary experience.

Must Try Dishes: It is fundamental to have the Gamba Tigre Grelhada (giant tiger prawn) and the Prego (tenderloin sandwich).

Clube Naval de Lisboa, in Belém

The Clube Naval de Lisboa located on the river front next to the famous Belém tower, is a popular dinning spot amongst locals. The non-pretentious place offers an amazing view of the Tagus River while enjoying a late lunch or dinner. The menu is authentic to Portuguese cuisine, featuring great fish and meat options and a great selection of Portuguese beer and wine. The amazing views, tasty menu, combined with friendly service are what makes this place such a hotspot.

Must Try Dishes: We highly recommend the Lulinhas à Algarvia (squid) as an appetizer and the Polvo à Lagareiro (octopus) or the Bacalhau à Lagareiro (cod fish) as entrées.
