Santa Isabel Construction Update

Located in the oldest district in the parish of Campo de Ourique, Santa Isabel is sitting within arm’s reach of everything while preserving its calm and tranquil neighbourhood feeling. It is home to some of the best up and coming restaurants in the city, like Tasca da Esquina, and has a mix of modern and traditional shops with a very cool vibe. You can visit the traditional Mercado de Campo de Ourique - now turned into a gourmet food court - as well as old and modern landmarks such as Basílica and Jardim da Estrela and the Amoreiras Shopping Center and its 360 Panoramic View, the best rooftop in Lisbon.

Each floor and apartment in the Santa Isabel development has a story to tell and something to offer to everyone. This same variety is present in its interior layouts: large open living spaces with on-wall, island, or standalone kitchens; the sloping and angles of the last floor; the towering back court facing windows on the ground floor; and the traditional ornate balconies on the 2nd level. It's a kaleidoscope of charm. The living rooms are the souls of the apartments; spacious and inviting, with high-quality fully-fitted kitchens. They naturally lead outside onto gardens, terraces, and balconies. All the bedrooms and en-suites are spacious, face outwards and draw in light.

Character, comfort, and quality of life converge in Santa Isabel, with its distinct architectural styles. Within the play on light and space at the heart of comfort and elegance that Santa Isabel offers, gardens are a central feature, unifying, balancing and prescribing a lifestyle. Spacious yet secluded, the gardens offer freshness and colour while cultivating intimacy and calm.

With the church square just a stone’s throw away, Santa Isabel provides an elegant combination of styles in a pleasantly eclectic neighbourhood. The church is one of the features of “Old Lisbon” that survived the devastating earthquake of 1755 and proudly displays the mosaic of styles that makes it special. In a similar vein, the surrounding neighbourhood has received its own share of neoclassical and romantic brushstrokes and traces of Art Deco stretching into successive waves of modernism.

The internationally experienced, award-winning architectural firm ARX took up the challenge of renovating an eighteenth- century residence and designing a contemporary building within the same project. The result is a contemporary reflection on the elements of Lisbon’s architectural tradition articulated in a language specific to Santa Isabel.

Santa Isabel has a front and a back door, as one would expect from a real home. At the rear, Lisbon’s traditional vegetable plots, backyards and patios have been transformed into intimate green areas - a contemporary tribute to the city’s classical tight-knit habits.

Spacious, yet secluded, the gardens offer freshness and colour while cultivating intimacy and calm.

Apartments

Santa Isabel comprises 3 distinct buildings, all interconnected by a two-level underground car park with 31 spaces. At a maximum of 3 stories, the apartments of Santa Isabel are designed as welcoming abodes of life and conviviality, offering the highest standards of comfort and modern amenities in spaces that are airy, functional and well thought-out.

The living rooms are the souls of the apartments, spacious and inviting with high-quality fully-fitted kitchens. They naturally lead outside onto gardens, terraces and balconies. All the bedrooms and en-suites are spacious, face outwards and draw in light.

Construction Progress

The project, which was nearly sold out within two days, is well under construction and is scheduled for completion in early 2024.
